Bomber Brigade marching Band
The Bomber Brigade serves as Rensselaer Central's marching band and is primarily active during the late summer through the fall. This ensemble is comprised of high school students and select 8th grade students and performs at many community and school events throughout the year. Performances will include parades throughout the summer and fall, football games, and pep sessions. 8th grade students who show above average work ethic and skill may be invited to participate by the director.
The Bomber Brigade primarily rehearses during the late summer/early fall and outside of the regular school day. The highlight of the marching season happens during band camp. During this time, students learn music and drill for the upcoming season's marching show. During the school year, rehearsals are scheduled on Monday's from 3:30 pm to 6:00 pm, Wednesday from 3:30 pm to 5:00 pm, Friday's 3:30 to 5:30 pm, and during 1st period during the day. This class is a part of the High School Band's curriculum, meaning all rehearsals and performances are worth a grade. Join us at a football game or Marching Band competition to support our team and enjoy a marvelous show! Fall athletes are encouraged to join! The director and coaches will work to together to create a schedule to allow each student to split his or her time.
